July/August/September Newsletter

Dear Friends

We have been looking forward to sharing our joys with you about the children at the Sangita Home and the Ministries of Sangita

The new children who had come into our orphanage during the month of June have settled down very well . They are very happy and healthy. All have gained in weight and it feels good to see the smiles on their faces.

New Boys
New Girls

Physical Education Classes and Yoga

We have started some preschool activities for the children . This will enable the child to cope well when they turn 5 years and go to regular school.

We have hired a qualified master to teach Yoga and physical excercises to the children. To begin with it will be once a week. This has been going on for 2 months and we are able to see good results in the children.

English and Sunday School Classes

Two teachers who have a burden to serve the underprivileged children come every week on Saturdays and Sundays to teach the children songs , English rhymes , Bible stories, dances and Choreographs. This too has proved to give good results.

If we are able to find sponsors for this programme we look forward to make it on a daily basis with more qualified teachers and teaching materials.

On Community Transformation Work

As part of the Sangita Ministries to work among the underprivileged communities towards transforming the quality of their lives. We are looking forward to openings . We are pleased to let you know that we were able to identify a group of youth living in very difficult areas ,help them to form a cricket team and register them in non professional league. About 15 youth have registered and they have played 2 matches. The team’s captain is a great believer and the team is taught good values through fellowship meetings. The team manager Emmanuel from the Christian sports fellowship guides the team. The ministry of Christian Sports fellowship in Chennai is partnering with us in this work.

We were able to provide 2 sets of T shirts for the players with our Logo on it. We hope that this start will enable us to do greater things in the communities for children, elderly and the widows and destitute women in the coming days

God willing we will start off this ministry with a Christmas programme in the community.

Our needs have been met by God through His people. We thank them and look to God for His Blessings upon them.
